The First Asia-Pacific Academic Forum for Young Dental Talents Concluded Successfully
From November 1 to 2, 2024, the first Asia-Pacific Academic Forum for Young Dental Talents was successfully held in Haikou, Hainan Province , hosted by the China Food and Drug Quality and Safety Promotion Association ( hereinafter referred to as FDSA), co-organized by the Dental Committee of the FDSA, Yiling Hospital Management Group and Boao and Yiling Jiake Dental Health Center. The forum received strong support from many units and colleges such as APDSA, International Team for Implantology, the Peking University School of Stomatology (Stomatological Hospital), the Ninth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, and the School of Stomatology of Hainan Medical University . Nearly 300 well-known experts, scholars and young dentists gathered together to discuss the application and development of oral medicine.
The seminar kicked off with great fanfare and anticipation. Mao Zhenbin, president of FDSA, delivered a speech, emphasizing that this event aims to respond to the national “Healthy China 2030” strategy and the spirit of the “Oral Health Action Plan “, bringing together global dental elites to seek common development and explore innovation.
Then , the conference ushered in a highlight moment. Michael Ma, Chairman of Dental Committee of FDSA, solemnly announced the establishment of the Dental Committee and invited Academician Mao Zhenbin to issue appointment letters to the committee members and vice-chairmen at the same time . This move marked an important milestone in the field of stomatology and laid a solid foundation for subsequent professional development .
After the ceremony , oral medicine experts from home and abroad took the stage and delivered a series of wonderful keynote speeches , sharing their research results and clinical experience .
The two-day forum was full of practical information, covering many cutting-edge topics in oral implants. From immediate implantation and soft and hard tissue reconstruction, to clinical education and training of computer-assisted implantation, to the widespread application of artificial intelligence in oral implantation, each topic deeply analyzed the current hot spots and difficulties in oral medicine. In addition, the conference also discussed innovative technologies such as digital impression technology and digital bone augmentation strategies for consecutive missing anterior teeth, injecting new vitality into the development of oral medicine.
The scholars attending the seminar said that through this seminar, they not only met many like-minded colleagues, but also had a clearer understanding and grasp of the future development trends of stomatology.
At the closing ceremony, Michael Ma, chairman of Dental Committee of FDSA, personally awarded certificates of honor to each young scholar who gave a wonderful speech at the forum, in recognition of their outstanding talents and unremitting efforts in the field of stomatology . He also hoped to encourage more young scholars to forge ahead on the academic path and continue to pursue higher achievements.
