The 2024 World Manufacturing Conference opened in Hefei, Anhui on the 20th. Zhang Qingwei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Zhang Qingwei pointed out that this conference focuses on the theme of “Smart Manufacturing World, Creating a Better World”, aiming to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter to the World Manufacturing Conference, actively build a platform for mutual learning, mutual reference, exchange and cooperation, and promote the high-quality development of the global manufacturing industry and achieve shared win-win results.
China hopes to share new opportunities for China’s modernization construction with all parties in the world, strengthen interaction and mutual assistance, jointly promote the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, strengthen mutual benefit, jointly deepen high-level open cooperation, strengthen mutual integration and complementarity, and jointly maintain the security of the global industrial chain and supply chain, and continuously write a new chapter in the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry and promote the healthy development of economic globalization.
Since 2018, the World Manufacturing Conference has been held for seven consecutive sessions.
