Greater Bay Area Airlines may have its first female CEO

Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that 73-year-old Greater Bay Area Airlines CEO Stanley Hui may resign from his position next month, and former Cathay Pacific senior executive and current Greater Bay Area Airlines COO Wu Xiulan is expected to take over the position.

According to the official website of Greater Bay Area Airlines, Xu Hanzhong has more than 40 years of management experience in the aviation industry and has served as CEO of Greater Bay Area Airlines since June 2022. He joined the aviation industry in 1975 and held various management positions at Cathay Pacific Airways. He served as President of the all-cargo Hong Kong Airlines (1994 to 1997) and Chief Executive Officer of Dragonair (1997 to 2006). ) and Chief Executive of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (2007-2015).

Wu Xiulan has held her current position at Great Bay Air since June 1, 2023. She has held many senior management positions at Dragonair and later Cathay Pacific. Ng Xiulan has more than 30 years of experience in aviation industry management, and has held important management positions in airlines in the fields of commercial and operations.
