In January,  the International Flavor Judging Panel in Brussels, Belgium, announced the winners of the 2024 “SUPERIOR TASTE AWARD.” This award is renowned as a global culinary guide, often referred to as the “Oscars” of the food industry.

As a leading enterprise in China’s livestock by-products and food ingredients industry, Qinre Group’s representative high-quality food ingredient, Qinre Pig Stomach Strips, successfully stood out among thousands of outstanding products worldwide to receive this prestigious award.

Qinre’s achievement is not only a milestone as the first Chinese pig stomach ingredient brand to win such an international award but also marks the first time a by-product food ingredient brand has received recognition in the “SUPERIOR TASTE AWARD’s” nearly 20-year history.

Due to the high difficulty in handling livestock by-products and their relatively lower consumption abroad, it is challenging for international judges to accept them. Qinre Pig Stomach Strips, being the first by-product food ingredient to win the “SUPERIOR TASTE AWARD,” not only represents the individual flavor recognition of this product but also signifies the unanimous international acknowledgment of Qinre’s high-quality positioning, philosophy, and products at the pinnacle of global livestock by-product food ingredients.

Different from other gourmet judging organizations, the International Flavor Judging Panel consists of over 200 renowned chefs and sommeliers from 15 European culinary and wine associations. Their authority and professionalism lie in the fact that each product undergoes a rigorous blind test, evaluating it based on the first impression, visual appeal, aroma, taste, texture, and aftertaste, without comparisons with other products. This approach ensures a fair and objective evaluation, focusing solely on the strength of the food product itself.

One of the panel members, Stiin Roelandt (Deputy Head Chef of the Michelin 3-star restaurant Hof van Cleve), commented, “Judges cannot see the packaging, brand, production company, or country and region, allowing us to maintain fairness and objectivity. Only products that truly excel can be awarded the “SUPERIOR TASTE AWARD.”

Qinre Pig Stomach Strips, in this edition, successfully won the award by gaining high recognition in terms of the first impression, visual appeal, aroma, taste, texture, and aftertaste from the judges, impressing the global panel with its astonishing taste.
