The visa waiver agreement between Kazakhstan and China came into effect on November 10

The mutual visa exemption agreement between the Kazakhstan government and the Chinese government will come into effect on November 10, 2023.

The mutual visa exemption agreement signed by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the People’s Republic of China in Xi’an on May 17, 2023 will come into effect on November 10, 2023.

Article 11 of the Agreement shows that the Agreement shall enter into force 30 calendar days from the date on which both parties receive notification from each other to complete the domestic procedures required for its entry into force.

According to the agreement, citizens of the contracting countries holding valid travel documents are exempted from visa requirements when entering, exiting, or transiting the territory of the other country for personal affairs, tourism, medical care, international transportation, transit, and business purposes (signing contracts, negotiations, consulting services, etc.). From the date of entry, you can stay in the country for no more than 30 calendar days, and the total stay within the 180 calendar days does not exceed 90 calendar days.

Valid travel documents for citizens of Kazakhstan include: passport, certificate of return to Kazakhstan.

Valid travel documents for Chinese citizens include: ordinary official passports, ordinary passports, and temporary travel documents.
