Canada to sanction 24 individuals and 17 entities

Canada has decided to impose sanctions on 24 individuals and 17 entities, Global Affairs Canada said in a statement posted on its website on October 10. According to Ottawa, these individuals are “involved in the theft and destruction of cultural artifacts and Ukrainian culture,” the report said.

The “blacklist” includes former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, some officials from the Russian side, cultural institutions in Crimea and Kherson, as well as some museums and media outlets, according to the report.
