该中心发布的报告指出：“2020年美国全国人口出生时预期寿命为77.3岁，而2019年为78.8岁，缩短了1.5岁。”
该中心数据显示，美国女性平均寿命为80.2岁（比2019年缩短1.2岁），男性74.5岁（比2019年缩短1.8岁）。
报告强调，寿命降低与新冠肺炎死亡率上升有关。
