From January to August this year, among industrial enterprises above designated size, state-owned holding enterprises realized a total profit of 47.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%; joint-stock enterprises realized a total profit of 119.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%; foreign-invested enterprises and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises realized a total profit of 33.94 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.1%.<\/p>\n
In terms of industries, the mining industry realized a total profit of 16.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.1%; the manufacturing industry realized a total profit of 119.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%; the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry realized a total profit of 17.65 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%.<\/p>\n
